     On the 3rd of April, Pasay City Special Education Center held its Recognition Day at the school grounds. It was organized by the Special Education teachers who worked together to pull off a successful event with the theme, “The Role of K-12 Basic Education Program in Harnessing the Skills and Competencies of the Filipino Learners to Face Life’s Challenges.”

     The program began with the traditional yet breath-taking processional of the principal, Mrs. Lea M. Marcelo, the Special Education teachers, and the students with their ever-loving parents. The National Anthem was conducted by Mrs. Jay E. Bautista, the Guidance Teacher. This was followed by the Doxology led by the selected pupils of Level 1 guided by their teachers Ms. Leizle Martinez and Ms. Marinil D. Juan. Afterwards, they were overwhelmed with the praises and inspirational message of the school head, Mrs. Lea M. Marcelo. Together with the Master Teachers, she led the awarding of certificates of recognition to the stakeholders and to the distinctive teachers. The next segment was the much-awaited awarding of certificates to students. Both parents and students were surprised by the recognition received from their patient and supportive teachers. The school ground was filled with laughter and overwhelming happiness.  Despite of days, weeks, and months of difficulties in learning, they all received awards and certificates of recognition that they all worked hard for. Special recognition was given to the three (3 female students namely, Lillian Joy F. Oliquino, Justine Marie DR. Catapang, and Kriss Ann S. Baroza, who went back victoriously. The school wishes them to bring home the bacon from the NCR Palarong Pambansa 2018. The General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) President, Mrs. Gina T. Bautista and the Pasay City Special Education Center Faculty President, Mrs. Melisa G. Delmo took the opportunity to give thanks to everyone who supported their projects and services. The event ended with an inspirational message and a challenge to strive harder for the next school year from Master Teacher 1, Julie G. Maranan, Ph. D. All thanks to the masters of ceremonies, Mr. Harlan Mart D. Dela Cruz and Mrs. Dina S. Gador who made the event lively and spontaneous.

     It was a superb Recognition Day directed by the excellent school head, special education teachers, and outstanding students with their loving parents.
